We have a number of services and clinics available at our practice with some requiring no appointment. In order to attend an appointment only clinic or surgery, please ring the reception or follow any details provided with the clinic information.
Please note we offer on-line services, prescriptions, appointments and patients can view important parts of your medical record which includes medication, allergies and immunisations. To get access to on-line services please contact Cath or Chris at the practice. From the 1st April 2016 patients will be able to access coded items on their medical recorded. Please ask reception for an application form to view coded items on your record. The process for this is different to appointments and prescription access and can take up to 14 days for access to be granted.

If you are too ill to attend the surgery, please contact us before 10.00 a.m. to request a doctor to call to see you at home. You will be asked to provide some details of the nature of the illness. This helps the doctors to plan their visits so that more urgent problems can be dealt with first. Home Visits are time consuming for a GP and we ask that you only request a visit when it is impossible for you to attend the surgery.
There is always a doctor available during surgery hours to deal with medical emergencies. When the surgery is closed please ring the surgery telephone line 0191 4162578 and you will be directed to 111 or JUST RING 111

Our multi-skilled Practice Nurse Team are fully qualified in Chronic Disease Management and Health Promotion. In liaison with the doctors they hold the following clinics:- Cervical Cytology (Smear), Asthma/COPD, Diabetes, Heart Disease monitoring, Stroke, Dietary Advice, Smoking Cessation, Well Person Health Checks, Family Planning, Minor Surgery, Holiday Vaccinations, Hypertension Monitoring, Menopause Advice, Prostate cancer injections, Baby Immunisations, Phlebotomy (bloods) and ECGs (heart scans).
Child Immunisation Clinic – All parents/guardians will receive notification of the dates when immunisation is due, either in infancy or the pre-school period. All parents must make every effort to see that their children are fully protected both for the individual child’s sake and for the health of the population as a whole. The service at the practice is for patients on our registered list.
Tuesday morning between 10.00 a.m. and 11.00 a.m.
Thursday afternoon between 1.30 p.m. and 3.00 p.m.
To attend the ante-natal clinic you will be asked to complete a form at reception and this will be faxed to the Midwifery Team who will contact you with an appointment.
