Ambreen Aslam, Clinical Pharmacist
Ambreen grew up in Newcastle and now lives in Sunderland since graduating from Sunderland University in 2003. She started her pharmacy career with Boots the Chemist and since then has worked across various community pharmacies in the North East as well as the North East Prison cluster. She joined the team here at Dr Stephenson and partners in May 206. Ambreen can help give advice on your medication. This may be to help manage long term conditions such as diabetes, asthma, arthritis or high blood pressure; discuss issues if you are experiencing side effects from your medication or feel they are not working; review your long term medication yearly and explain changes made to your medication after a hospital stay. She may also carry out health checks such as taking your blood pressure and arrange bloods or other tests you may require. A clinical pharmacist cannot give you your medicines. You should still collect your medicines from a community pharmacy in the usual way. Ambreen will work directly with you, as part of the general practice team, to make sure your medicines help you get better and stay well.
